The Art of Lily Jackson at the GPL

Each month, the Gallatin Public Library displays a different art exhibit. For the month of June, they are featuring Hendersonville artist Lily Jackson. For more information about Ms. Jackson, read below.

Lily Grace Jackson is a junior in High School and has been drawing since she was two years old. She is a newly published illustrator in "Mrs.P Your Hair's on Fire", and "Mrs. P Where are My Keys?" (INtense Publishing). It is a 30-book series. She has just finished illustrations on another children's book and a mid - grade reader. They will both release in 2021. Miss Jackson is currently working on two Young Adult Fantasy books that she is writing and illustrating herself. Lily has taught and will teach beginner digital art class at The Hendersonville and Gallatin Public Libraries. Her artwork has showcased in The Hendersonville Public Library and will be on display in July 2021 at The Gallatin Public Library.

She loves musical theater and has been performing since the age of 9. She plays several instruments and loves to sing with her sister. They have a single out, You Shine Through, on iTunes and you can find them @Jacksonsistersmusic on Facebook. Lily plans to go to a liberal arts college and pursue art and theater. Her dream is to work for DC, Marvel, or Disney and be a digital artist. She also wants to turn her books into movies or films for kids of all ages to enjoy and receive the messages of believing in yourself and never giving up on your dreams.
