Gallatin Chalk Walk

This event takes place on Saturday, June 24th from in Downtown Gallatin and artist registration is required.

The ARM Foundation is so honored to partner with the Gallatin Arts Council to present the inaugural ARM Foundation: “Sounds of Summer” Concert Series as part of the always super fun, GAC Art Week.

Coffee & Calligraphy
Join calligrapher Kristina Howard to explore the art of brush calligraphy on Thursday, June 22nd at 6:00 PM at Bistro 562 and Coffee House. If you've ever looked at calligraphy and wondered whether you could do it yourself, this is the perfect class for you! Learn the basics, enjoy a cup of coffee, and have fun doing it. We can't wait to see you there!
This class is for folks ages 14 and older. Supplies are provided. This class is hosted by the Gallatin Arts Council as part of Gallatin Art Week. Space is limited, so sign up today!

Biographical Book Club is now meeting in person at the Gallatin Public Library!
Join the Gallatin Public Library as they host a book club to talk about Ladies of Jazz: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Sarah Vaughan! Read, watch, or listen to anything you want on the topic and join us to learn about these fascinating individuals!
Songs & Stories at Stonewall
Marshall Chapman will be performing on Saturday, June 10th at Historic Stonewall. Marshall is a Nashville songwriting legend. Her style is more Americana than country, with some rock and roll flavor too. She's written two books, and is a great storyteller.

The Art of Lily Jackson at the GPL
Each month, the Gallatin Public Library displays a different art exhibit. For the month of June, they are featuring Hendersonville artist Lily Jackson. For more information about Ms. Jackson, read below.
Lily Grace Jackson is a junior in High School and has been drawing since she was two years old. She is a newly published illustrator in "Mrs.P Your Hair's on Fire", and "Mrs. P Where are My Keys?" (INtense Publishing). It is a 30-book series. She has just finished illustrations on another children's book and a mid - grade reader. They will both release in 2021. Miss Jackson is currently working on two Young Adult Fantasy books that she is writing and illustrating herself. Lily has taught and will teach beginner digital art class at The Hendersonville and Gallatin Public Libraries. Her artwork has showcased in The Hendersonville Public Library and will be on display in July 2021 at The Gallatin Public Library.
She loves musical theater and has been performing since the age of 9. She plays several instruments and loves to sing with her sister. They have a single out, You Shine Through, on iTunes and you can find them @Jacksonsistersmusic on Facebook. Lily plans to go to a liberal arts college and pursue art and theater. Her dream is to work for DC, Marvel, or Disney and be a digital artist. She also wants to turn her books into movies or films for kids of all ages to enjoy and receive the messages of believing in yourself and never giving up on your dreams.

Aimed towards the younger crowd, each kit comes with everything your child needs to make a fun craft each week, and learn while they do it!
The craft is available for pickup every Tuesday between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
